APS/SPR Endowment – We need 100% of Our Membership to Contribute

In the April 1998 issue of our newsletter, the Presidents of the American Pediatric Society (Ralph Feigin) and the Society for Pediatric Research (Maureen Andrew), announced the long range plan to secure the future of the societies. Through the Foundation for Pediatric Research, we have established as an initial goal raising a two million dollar endowment.

We have a long way to go! To date, 9% of the membership has responded to the initial solicitation of for funds. Prior to initiating our drive to raise funds from external sources, we must ensure the commitment of our membership. This is one of the first questions asked by external contributors "to what extent is the membership willing to support this endeavor". 100% of the APS & SPR Councils have contributed. Even if you can only make a small contribution, please take a few moments to complete the pledge form at the end of this article.

We’d like to thank all members who have made contributions over the past few months. We’d also like to provide special recognition to the following members who have pledged in excess of $250.

Even if you can make only a small contribution…..Please join your fellow members who have already contributed to the future of the societies.
