The Groups will organize soon and begin to work on their agenda, mostly by fax and e-mail. Group membership, and certainly serving as leader, will require a commitment to working toward change. However, these Groups offer the promise of applying the talent, leadership, experience, and influence of the APS to some of the major problems facing academic pediatrics and child health today. Enrollment remains open. If you have the time and interest, we need you. If you would like to join a group, notify Kathy Cannon at the APS Office (phone, 281/419-0052; e-mail, kathyc@aps-spr.org). If you have questions, contact Dick Johnston, M.D., Work Group Coordinator (phone, 914/997-4649; e-mail, rjohnston@modimes.org).
