Enrollment in APS Work Groups Still Open

Forms attached to the annual dues statement allowed APS members to sign up for the work group(s) of their choice. The results to date have been impressive:

The Groups will organize soon and begin to work on their agenda, mostly by fax and e-mail. Group membership, and certainly serving as leader, will require a commitment to working toward change. However, these Groups offer the promise of applying the talent, leadership, experience, and influence of the APS to some of the major problems facing academic pediatrics and child health today. Enrollment remains open. If you have the time and interest, we need you. If you would like to join a group, notify Kathy Cannon at the APS Office (phone, 281/419-0052; e-mail, kathyc@aps-spr.org). Begin thinking about candidates for membership. The deadline for candidates for consideration in 2000 is July 30, 1999. Membership applications will be posted on our Website in February 1999 or can be obtained by contacting the Central Office.
