Advancing Childrens
Health We are pleased to announce that from May 1216, the Spring Meeting of the American Academy of Pediatrics will join with the Annual Meeting of the Pediatric Academic Societies for a very exciting and unprecedented pediatric educational experience. Our theme will be "Advancing Childrens Health". The Year 2000 Meeting will afford a unique opportunity to meet the needs of all four of the sponsoring societies. Members are encouraged to plan ahead and consider submitting their work and encourage their colleagues and trainees to submit their work to our meeting in Boston. Leadership from the APS, SPR, APA and AAP are already hard at work developing the schedule and content for this. The Year 2000 Program Committee will endeavor to make the meeting one in which all of us can learn, share our research, and participate in a collegial and congenial atmosphere. Our mission continues to be to sustain high quality research, probe challenging and new areas of knowledge, and present the best of our discipline. The Program Committee will once again be chaired by Dr. Sam Hawgood and will meet on January 31, 1999 to begin the planning of the Year 2000 meeting. All members are invited to provide suggestions for scientific topics and speakers for our current formats, as well as suggestions for new programming formats. |
