2007 MWSPR Annual Meeting

The 48th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Society for Pediatric Research will be held October 17–19 in Indianapolis, Indiana. This meeting will offer a broad presentation of clinical and basic pediatric research, representing most academic institutions throughout the geographical Midwest. We trust that there will be topics of interest to everyone!

Abstract Submission

The abstracts submission deadline is July 9, 2007, 5:00pm, Eastern Time.

Also, please note that the abstract submission fee is separate from the registration fee. You must register to attend the meeting and can do so at the link "Meeting Registration" at http://www.medpubinc.com.

Abstracts submitted and accepted for the MWSPR Meeting will be published in the November issue of Pediatric Research. 

MWSPR Awards

• The Founder Award is presented annually to a senior member of the MWSPR for fostering advances in pediatric research and and contributing to the development of the careers of academic pediatricians.

• The Sutherland Award is presented for the outstanding abstract presentation by a junior faculty member (<5 years on faculty) at the Annual Meeting

• The Kenney Award is given for the outstanding abstract presentation by a fellow at the Annual Meeting.

• The Metcoff Award is given for an outstanding abstract presentation by a fellow or resident at the Annual Meeting.

• The MWSPR Student Award is given for the most outstanding abstract presentation by a trainee at a level prior to residency.

• Travel Awards are available to trainees who present their work as first authors at the Annual Meeting.
