Membership in the Midwest Society for Pediatric Research (MWSPR) ****Application Deadline: To Be Determined**** Nominations for membership in the Society are strongly encouraged. To be eligible, an individual should be pursuing an active full-time career in academic pediatrics as a faculty member at a teaching institution in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Western Pennsylvania (including Pittsburgh), Manitoba, or Saskatchewan. The nominee must have made a scientific contribution, as documented by first authorship of at least one published paper in a refereed scientific journal. Case reports and review articles are not generally considered to satisfy this requirement. A copy of at least one such publication should be submitted
along with two letters of recommendation from current MWSPR members and a current curriculum vitae
that includes a bibliography and review of academic activities. The two
letters of recommendation are required and may be submitted by active or
emeritus members. Council members may not nominate or second the
nomination of new members. Applicants who have been considered for
membership previously, but not accepted, and who are reapplying must
submit a new application for consideration. All documents must be
submitted in triplicate.

Secretary-Treasurer of the Midwest SPR or may be downloaded below.
All nominations are considered and acted upon by the Officers and
Council of the Midwest SPR at the Annual Meeting. If a candidate is a member of the national Society for Pediatric Research and/or American Pediatric Society, a letter from the candidate indicating desire for membership and a current curriculum vitae will be sufficient for membership.
Annual
dues are $75.00.
